The Best Homemade Chummus
Make this dip once and I promise you will never buy hummus again!
I was always told that as an adult, your taste buds will change but I never believed it. Growing up my father would buy dozens of dips every shabbos. I never touched them. Somewhere along the way I fell in love with dips. I think it was at my friend’s house. I was staying by her for shabbos while in NY for a date and her father offered me some dips. Wanting to be polite, I took a tiny bit on my plate and dipped some of my challah in it. Mouth full of Challah and hummus I looked up and said this is really good! My friend’s father was thrilled! Once I got into dips I actually regretted not enjoying all the dips my father had got when I was little!
Hummus is a classic. It goes great with anything and everything. Every week I make a big batch which we snack on throughout the week. Sometimes I will double or triple the batch and freeze it in small batches and take out as needed per meal. Link to some of my other favorite dips: (xxx matbucha) (xxx schug) (xxx mushroom dip)
