Super Easy Homemade Pizza

This pizza is a staple in my house. I make it once a week. Nothing beats fresh homemade pizza!

When I was newly married I lived out of town where we did not have the luxury of pizza shops on every corner and certainly no dairy eatery to hang out in on the long motzei shabbosim in the winter. Our definition of fresh pizza was pulling warmed frozen pizza out of the toaster oven. I missed it dearly. Until my friend introduced me to homemade pizza. Honestly, the thought hadn’t even crossed my mind! The first time we made it together. I have such wonderful memories of baking in her kitchen laughing and shmoozing as she showed me how to roll the dough and shape it. Now my love for pizza has grown. I associated it with friends and happy times. It became our weekly tradition. Every motzei shabbos we would get together and make pizza, fries, and salad. Today in Lakewood, NJ I am spoiled with the myriad of pizza shops. But that doesn’t stop me from making homemade pizza once a week. If it was up to my girls I would make it 7 days a week! Over the years I’ve evolved, I make all sorts of funky pizzas. My garlic confit pizza (xxx link for garlic confit pizza) My most requested pizza in my household is my whole wheat pizza (xxx link for ww pizza)

When it comes to toppings there are endless possibilities, I will even sometimes do half and half. My husband and boys love jalapenos and garlic. My daughter loves sliced mushrooms. You can add sliced peppers, roasted eggplant, sauteed onions, feta cheese. Really whatever suits your fancy!
