Delectabe Streusel-Topped Cheese Bundt Cake

I love a good crumb cake, and this dairy streusel cheese Bundt cake is the perfect Shavuos treat if you’re looking for a break from cheesecake!

I am not a huge cheesecake person, and neither is anyone in my family. We generally prefer the savory cheese dishes Shavuos has to offer. However, I love a good crumb cake and Bundt cakes are also one of our favorites, so one year, before Shavuos, when I was trying to figure out a dairy baked good that I could make that wasn’t cheesecake, I came up with the idea of making a milchig streusel cheese Bundt cake.

It was an instant success! Layers of crumbly cake with cheese filling…just divine! I won’t name names, but one kid sliced off the top of the cake, ‘cuz that’s where the good stuff was!

The crumbs have that delicious melt-in-your-mouth taste and the cheese filling adds so much, making this the perfect treat to have with your morning coffee while the men are in shul or after a nice milchig meal served alongside some ice cream or cut-up fruit.

If you want to keep this cake pareve, you can substitute pareve cream cheese in the filling and a pareve milk in the cake.

As always, it is important to use a good Bundt pan. I love my Nordic Ware Bundt Pan — it’s worth the extra few dollars.

The number-one question I get about this streusel cheese Bundt cake is how I make a Bundt cake with crumbs on top. The answer is that it’s technically plated upside down! Once cooled, I flip the bundt cake onto a plate and then flip it back onto my cake plate and it is now ready to be displayed on my counter—upside down (see video)!

  1. You need to bake this for much longer then 45 minutes and the crumb didn’t get course it’s powdery. In addition it’s brown from the cinnamon not white like the photo
