Shortcut Honey Cookie Sticks
Your favorite Rosh Hoshanah cookie…in stick form! These honey cookie sticks will have you wanting more — and since they take just minutes to make, that won’t be a problem!

If you know my baking and cooking style, you’ll know that I don’t love repetitive tasks. So, whether it’s shaping meatballs or rolling cookies, I’d always rather make meat sauce or… cookie sticks! Cookie sticks are so much quicker and easier than regular rolled cookies, and they taste just as good! (If you agree with me, check out my hot cocoa cookie sticks and my caramel and butterscotch chip cookie sticks, for some more cookie-stick inspo!)
Well, this time of year is super busy of course, and with all the cooking and baking, it’s hard to make time for rolling little honey cookies (though if you want to do that, check out my post here!). So I figured, if I can make so many other cookies into sticks, why not honey cookies too?
And the answer was… of course I could!
These honey cookie sticks are extra delicious if you use my Union Spice Blends Apple Crisp Blend (though if you don’t have that, you can sub cinnamon and allspice and it will also be good). Double or triple the batch to have extras (bake them into separate logs). You’ll be needing them!

Shortcut Honey Cookie Sticks
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Union Spice Blends Apple Crisp Blend* (or 1 tsp cinnamon + ½ tsp allspice)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup oil
- ½ cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2⅔ cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Place all ingredients in a bowl. Mix together until just combined.
- Place batter onto prepared cookie sheet and shape into a log. (It’s best to make it on the thinner side as it will spread while baking.)
- Bake for 25-35 minutes, depending on how chewy you like your cookie sticks.
- Slice while warm.
